v1.30 is not the latest firmware for the TASCAM US-2x2: the current version is v4.00 (January 31, 2020). Go to v4.00
What's in this update
- <Mic Monitor> checkbox has been added to the Mixer panel.
If this check is removed, sounds from mics input through IN 1 and IN 2 will not be sent to the headphone output. These input sounds will be mixed with the <PC Audio Out> signal and looped back to the computer.
- In order to provide compatibility with major communication applications in China, the Windows Playback/Recording devices have been extended.
Usually, you can set "Mixing Driver 1 for US-2x2 & US-4x4" as the "Default Device" without a problem. If you do not want "Mixing Driver 2 for US-2x2 & US-4x4" to appear, right-click it, select "Disabled" from the menu that appears, and remove the check next to "Show Disabled Devices".
