   • TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT V1.2.0 and later versions support recording to the NOTE field in the iXML metadata.

   < Maintenance items >

   • CH1 and CH2 ​files recorded using the FR-AV2 could not be pasted in some video editing apps. This has been fixed.
   • When editing audio files recorded on this unit with iZotope RX and t​hen exporting them using "Export Regions to Files", 100 identical files would be created. This has been fixed.
   • Operation stability has been improved in other ways.

   • Display misalignment would o​ccur when timecodes for 5 devices were shown simultaneously on the app screen.

   This has been improved.

   • The stop button behavior has been updated.

   During playback, a short press (tap) stops playback. For recording, the stop opera​tion can now be set to either "long press" or "short press" on the APP SETTINGS Screen.

   • The FR-AV4 ​would not exit playback mode when playback was stopped from the TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT app Home Screen. This has been fixed.
   • For channels with CH ENABLE turned off, REC ENABLE could not be turned on using the TASC​AM RECORDER CONNECT app. This has been fixed.
   • Operation stability has been improved in other ways.

   • When the device with Android app V1.2.0 entered a sleep or ba​ckground state, the following errors would occur on the FR-AV2. This has been fixed.
   • ATOMOS timecode connection temporarily int​errupted
   • Remote audio disconnected

   NOTE: Updating both the app and FR-AV2 unit is necessary to fix this issue.

   • REC-LINK function has been ​newly added. This allows the user to select recording devices connected to TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT for synchronized recording operations.

   • Press-and-hold operations for the Stop button are now supported.

   • When the INPUT was set to EXT and the REC LEVEL was set to maximum while nothing was connec​ted to the camera/EXT/TC IN jack, a subtle cyclic noise could occur in CH 1. This has been fixed.
   • W​hen the REC LEVEL setting in the INPUT SETTINGS was changed using the TASCAM RECORDER CONNECT app, the REC LEVEL setting for channels that were not being operated would sometimes be set to 0 dB. This has been fixed.

    • By pressing and holding the F3 button when the HOME screen is open, the phantom power status of each XLR input can be displayed and its power can be switched on/off no​w.

    < Maintenance items >

    • The phantom power setting would always be turned off when the power was turned on. This has been fixed.
    • The speed when pressing the <</>> button has been adjusted to an appropriate speed.
    • The input signal would be output as is when playback was paused. This has been fixed.
    • The unit would become inoperable if an SD card that had been formatted on a computer or other device was inserted and then removed while a pop-up message was displayed. This has been fixed.
    • Connecting the unit to a computer by USB when the REC PAUSE MODE was ON caused a pop-up mess​age to appear that could not be closed. This has been fixed.
    • Operation stability has been improved in other ways.
