Skydio X10 version 37.1.182
Skydio X10 Controller version 37.1.160
Support for Skydio X10 in Japan
- The Skydio X10 Controller has now been translated to Japanese
- This release adds support for 2.4 GHz and Robotics band radio frequencies
Capture data more efficiently and economically for both manual and autonomous inspections of critical infrastructure
- New V100-L Sensor Package - Comprises two cameras (Narrow and Wide) plus an integrated LED flashlight to provide an unparalleled view of subjects at close proximity in both well-lit and low-light conditions. Common use cases include inspections, surveying and mapping, 3D modeling and photogrammetry, and imaging large scenes and structures from a short standoff distance.
- Button Mappable Exposure Compensation - Make rapid adjustments to exposure compensation (EV) using controller buttons, speeding up overall inspection times.
- Save to Custom Folder - Keep track of your assets by creating a custom folder preflight or inflight. All photos and videos captured after creating a custom folder will automatically save to the new folder.
- Map Capture Enhancements - Vastly improve the data captured during solar panel inspections (and similar) by setting a Custom Flight Direction and Perpendicular Camera Heading to align the capture pattern to the infrastructure (e.g. solar panel rows).
- Radiometric Enhancements - Auto Flat Field Correction (FFC) is now enabled before flight, resulting in better thermal image quality. An issue with incorrect radiometric readings prior to launch has been resolved.
Improve responses to public safety incidents with new and improved tools
- Speaker and Mic Attachment - Broadcast live and pre-recorded communications from your drone while in flight. Common use cases include wide area announcements, communicating with barricaded subjects, serving search warrants, search and rescue operations, and more.
- Public Safety Lights - Public safety organizations can now turn the RGB lights on the drone into a police or emergency pattern by setting them to flash red-and-blue or red-and-white.
- Fly Here Now Updates - Fly Here Now is newly available on Remote Flight Deck and supports the ability to hand off controls between the browser and controller. Select anywhere along the flight path between the drone and Fly Here Now location and add transit points.
- Multiple Users on the Skydio X10 Controller (by request) - X10 Controllers now allow multiple users, allowing you to easily switch accounts in both online and offline environments. Especially useful to organizations that leverage controllers as a shared resource with frequent and/or time sensitive handoff of the controller from one user to the next.
- Share Live Stream via ReadyLink on the Skydio X10 Controller - Easily share the live stream for your flight with a ReadyLink QR code accessible on the controller.
- Map Capture with NightSense - Unlock obstacle avoidance and safely document crime scenes and other incidents at night with NightSense, now supported when using MapCapture.
Fly with increased confidence and situational awareness with improvements to system reliability and robustness
- Switch Connection Types Inflight - You now have the ability to manually switch between Skydio Connect SL (point-to-point connection) and Skydio Connect 5G (cellular connection) during flight to ensure you get the best and most reliable connection possible.
- Improved Battery Estimations - We’ve greatly improved the accuracy of the battery capacity estimate used to determine when to return and land. The updated estimates take into account vehicle aerodynamics, wind speed and direction during flight, power consumption by the onboard avionics, and attachments such as Spotlight and NightSense.
- Image Stabilization Fix - Image stabilization was not functioning correctly at higher zoom levels, causing zoom functionality to fail beyond 14x magnification. This issue is now resolved.
- Local Aircraft Data in Remote Flight Deck - Onboard ADS-B (air traffic) sensor transmits data to Remote Flight Deck so you can see nearby air traffic on the map for enhanced situational awareness and waiver compliance.
- X10 Controller Network Indicator - A new icon at the top of the screen indicates whether or not the Skydio X10 Controller has network connection (WiFi, cellular, or ethernet).
- Engage with Support Faster and Easier - The Support Log download/upload progress indicator is now accurate and reliable. Up to 3 logs can be saved from system deletion for upload at a later time.
Get your data where it needs to go faster and with better chain of custody tools
- Watermarks on Recorded Media - Enable a watermark that displays key information on recorded photo and video files. Shows date, time, timezone (UTC/GMT offset), drone serial number, sensor package, and camera, supporting the authenticity of recorded videos and photos when used as evidence, and giving additional context to scenes when reviewing with your team and others.
- Media Sync Improvements - Resolves an issue that caused slower-than-expected upload speeds when syncing media using a WiFi connection
