   This program was installed in the latest batch of CS800D PLUS​ radios. This program and later versions is necessary to maintain compatibility with the new front panel di​splays which allow you to vary the intensity of the backlight.

   There are a few radios that are having problems reading or writing their code plug.

   Usually changing the computer so​lves the problem.

   If that does not work or you want to use a specific computer, you need to first run the RCDB version of the firmware and then update to MS40.54.

   Running the RCDB version erases the voice prompts so they will have to be reloaded if yo​u want voice prompts.

   This new CPS solves a problem where if the number of contacts is too large then the program crashed.

   This is the first release of the CPS for the CS800D PLUS. This ​firmware will not work with the standard CS800D for three reasons:

   1. The microprocessor is sl​ightly different
   2. The PLL is slightly different
   3. The flash memory is 64M in the CS800D and 256M in the CS800D PLUS
