Camera firmware roundup, week 38 2026: Fujifilm X100 1.01
The week in short
- 27 firmware releases tracked, 25 of them date-stamped inside 14–20 September, across 11 vendors
- Two batch releases dominated Wednesday: four Sigma Contemporary primes and seven Z CAM bodies
- Nikon's Z 8 picked up 3.11, the only major hybrid body in the list
- Close to a hundred products joined the tracker, the vast majority of them older Fujifilm compacts and bridge cameras
Notable updates
Nikon Z 8 — 3.11 (16 September) The headline body of the week. No changelog details came through with the release, so worth checking Nikon's notes before you flash a working camera.
Sigma DC / DC DN Contemporary primes, Sony E-mount — 17 September A coordinated drop across the APS-C fast-prime family:
- 12mm F1.4 DC | Contemporary → 02
- 16mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary → 06
- 23mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary → 02
- 56mm F1.4 DC DN | Contemporary → 05
The 12mm and 23mm are new to the tracker and arrived already at version 02.
Z CAM E2 family — 1.0.18 (17 September) E2, E2C, E2-M4, E2-S6, E2-S6G, E2-F6 and E2-F8 all landed on the same version number the same day. If you shoot multi-camera with mixed Z CAM bodies, this is the kind of release that gets everything back on a matching build.
Blackmagic Camera — 10.3 and 10.2.3 (14 September) Two versions published together, so there's a current-branch release and a maintenance release on the previous branch. Pick according to how adventurous your production schedule is. Blackmagic Audio Monitor also moved to 4.0.3 the same day.
Fujifilm X100 — 1.01 (18 September) Yes, that X100. A firmware entry dated this week for the original fixed-lens Fuji is the oddest line in the data, and a nice reminder that the tracker doesn't care how old your gear is.
Everything else
- DJI RS 5 → 01.02.00.03 (14 September)
- Godox AD600ProII → 1.13 (15 September)
- 7Artisans AF 10mm F2.5 and AF 135mm F1.8 → both date-stamped 2026.09.15
- Neewer Z3-C → 1.0.44 (15 September), Z3-S → 1.0.37 (17 September)
- Insta360 X5 → 1.13.21 (15 September)
- Sirui Aurora 85mm F1.4 → 1.1.0 for E-mount, 2.4 for L-mount (16 September). The version numbers run on separate tracks per mount, so don't read anything into the gap.
- DJI SDR Transmission 2 → 01.03.06.03, dated 1 September. It shows up now because the product is new to the tracker, not because anything shipped this week.
- Sigma SD9 → 1642, dated 27 November 2003. Same story: newly tracked, ancient firmware, included for completeness.
On the new-product side, Fujifilm accounts for more than 90 of the additions — the F, S, HS, XP, SL and Z compact and bridge lines, plus the S3 Pro and S5 Pro DSLRs and accessories like the EF-X500 flash, FT-XH grip and H Mount Adapter G. These came in with their existing firmware history attached; nothing there is new this week.
