   Feature changes due to security enhancements- When directly connecting the camera and smartphone via Wi-Fi, the connection has been changed to always require password authentication. (The [Wi-Fi Password] menu has been removed.) - The [TKIP] encryption ​method is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.

   • The [No Encryption] option in network authentication is no longer supported when connecting to Wi-Fi via an access point.
   • Wired LAN streaming feature (RTP/RTSP) has been removed.
   • The image transfer feature to PC via Wi-Fi has been removed. (Only European models) - The streaming feature via RTMP has been removed. (Only European models) Improved operational stability.

   • In order to convert the DC-GH5M2's USB Type C port to a LAN port, a commercially available USB Ethernet adapter(*)s required. (*) Compatibilities of USB Ethernet Adapter - RTMP/RTMPS streaming via USB tethering function of smartphone is possible. Added functions - [Live View Composite] function has been added. - 720° and 1080° have been added as the options of [Focus Ring Control]. -​ Connecting the camera with LUMIX Tether via wired LAN is possible.
   • Multiple cameras can be controlled from LUMIX Tether.
   • The firmware of LUMIX Tether software is also required to be updated to Ver.2.0 or higher.
   • Zoom operation of the LUMIX G power zoom lenses can be controlled from LUMIX Tether.
   • The firmware of LUMIX Tether software is also required to be updated to Ver.2.0 or higher. Performance improvement - There were cases where the camera froze when transferring images to a PC via Wi-Fi (5GHz). This phenomenon has been fixed.
