   The new X1D-50c firmware 1.24.0 contains key firmware improvements, including a number of exciting new features.

   Following the release of the latest addition to the XCD lens range, the [XCD 45P](https:​//www.hasselblad.com/x-system-lenses/xcd-4-45p/), this update adds full X1D-50c system support for this superbly compact, lightweight and optically excellent lens.

   Rounding off the step options for the exposure bracketing option, the addition of the 2/3 step allows photographers to select 1/3, 1/2, 2/3, 1, 2 or 3 stops exposure difference between each captured image in the selected bracketed sequence.

   Expanding the feature set of the X1D-50c even further, Focus Bracketing will allow a photographer trying to capture a subject with very limited depth of field, such as in macro or product photography, to capture a series of exposures of their chosen subject at a fractionally different focus point in each and then to stack these captures in their chosen stacking software.

   The photographer will have full control over the number of frames in the sequence, the step size between each capture and an initial delay ​to allow any support system vibration to diminish.

   A much-requested feature, Image Rating can now be applied to all captures in camera, making image sorting and selection much easier when the captures are transferred to the user’s computer system.

   When in image playback mode, with the capture details overlay on screen, the photographer simply presses the star button or presses the displayed stars.

   The required star rating can then be selected.

   Swiping left or right will allow access to the next capture to again select the required rating level.

   All ratings are stored in the metadata of the captured image and will be available for use in the photographer’s favorite image editing application.

   With the release of Hasselblad’s most recent XCD Lenses, the XCD 65, 80, and 135 including X Converter ​1,7, the new 1.22 Firmware Update ensures photographers are equipped with the most up-to-date tools for capturing their creative visions.

   Alongside the latest 0.5.33 lens firmware, this update also includes a list of minor improvements that advance the overall functionality of the X1D- 50c mirrorless medium format camera.

   The XCD 2,8/65, XCD 1,9/80 and XCD 2,8/135 are added to the lineup of supported lenses for the X1D-50c.

   Note that these lenses must also be updated to firmware 0.5.33 as well.

   It is now possible to set an initial delay in order to avoid camera shake on long exposures.

   With lenses that support divided scan range of Near, Far, or Full, a visual icon will be shown in Live View indicating when Near or Far settings are enabled. Currently the XCD 120 and XCD 135 lenses support this feature.

   Drag and drop icons to rearrange quick-access shortcuts to settings and options on the X1D-50c’s main menu screen. Three new custom button options ​are available, including Live View On/Off, Drive to Near (mini- mum focus distance) and AF Scan Range Cycle.

   It is now possible to turn off the front flashing LED during the Self Timer countdown.

   Autofocus for compatible HC/HCD Lenses via the XH Adapter includes expanded support of select H System lens accessories including extension tubes and select adapters.

   Set Focus Point back to the centre directly while in Live View by pressing the Cross (X) Button. Download firmware

   The 1.20.1 Firmware Update is a maintenan​ce release for the X1D-50c camera that solves a problem in 1.20.0.

   The 1.20 Firmware Update brings exciting new updates and functionality to the X1D that allows photographers and artists help in capturing their creative vision.

   These new features include Instant Preview and Imaging Browsing through the X1D EVF, a beneficial utility ​that many photographers rely on.

   Firmware 1.20 also offers creative Selectable Crop Modes including the popular XPan Ratio (65:24), 1:1, 7:6, 5:4, 3:2, 16:9, 2:1, A4, US Letter and more.

   With the new 1.19 Firmware Update, the X1D is now even more user-friendly and c​ustomisable with a new function to use the rear screen as a touch-pad to select a AF point while viewing through the EVF.
