Canon EOS R100 firmware v1.2.0

Firmware Version 1.2.0 incorporates the following fix:

1. This firmware update ensures compliance with the EU RED EN18031 standard by removing certain network functions. Affected Features: Image Upload: Sending images to image.canon will be disabled. FTP Transfer & Liv​e Streaming: These functions will no longer be available after the update. Important: Please review the following information before proceeding with the update.

• Once installed, this update cannot be reversed. If you use these features, do not update the firmware.
• This change only affects cameras purchased in the EMEA region (Europe, Middle East, and Africa).
• Cameras purchased in other regions will retain these functions after updating; only the firmware version will change. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.2.0, it is not necessary to update the firmware. Notes: Users manual in the WEB is updated accordingly. Please download the manual as well as the latest firmware. You can download it from the official WEB site. Preparations for a firmware update: After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a firmware folder is created.
• Extracting the downloaded file: The downloaded folder is automatically extracted, and a firmware folder is created. If the download folder cannot be automatically extracted, double-click the folder. In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (R1001200. FIR / file size: 35,534,480 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Befo​re starting the firmware update operations, please be sure to carefully review the instructions to confirm your understanding of the firmware update procedures.
