   Firmware Version 1.1.9 incorporates the following fix:

   1. Corrects a PTP communications vulnerability.
   2. Corrects a vulnerability related to firmware update. Firmware Version 1.1.9​ is for cameras with firmware up to Version 1.1.8. If the camera's firmware is already Version 1.1.9, it is not necessary to update the firmware. When updating the firmware of the camera, please review the instructions thoroughly before you download the firmware. Q&A: Preparations for a firmware update: After the downloaded compressed file (.dmg file) is extracted, a firmware folder is created.

   • Extracting the downloaded file: The downloaded folder is automatically extracted, and a firmware folder is created. If the download folder cannot be automatically extracted, double-click the folder. The extracted folder contains the firmware (File name: 6D000119. FIR, File size: 21,346,096 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese). Before starting the firmware update operations, please confirm the contents of the download, and carefully read through the firmware update procedures.    1. Fixes a phenomenon in which standard exposure may not be obtained, or an irregular exposure may result, when Silent LV (Live View) shooting with the following TS-E lenses: TS-E 50mm f/2.8L MACRO, TS-E 90mm f/2.8L MACRO, or TS-E 135mm f/4L MACRO. Changes in Version 1.1.7: Corrects a phenomenon in which when using the camera with the EF 70-300mm f/4-5.6 IS II USM lens, even if lens aberration correction is set to "Enable", correction will not be applied. Changes in Version 1.1.6:
   2. Fixes a phenomenon wherein AI Servo AF, if the AF point selection is automatic, the camera may not first use the center AF point to focus.
   3. Fixes a phenomenon where focus cannot be finely adjusted with specific lenses when perfor​ming remote shooting using the bundled application software EOS Utility.
   4. Corrects the incorrect indication in the Ukrainian menu for ISO Setting Changes in Version 1.1.4:
   5. Fixes a phenomenon in which some images cannot be transferred to mobile devices running the EOS Remote app.
   6. Corrects an error in the German language Feature Guide.
   7. Corrects an error in the Korean language Feature Guide. Changes in Version 1.1.3: Corrects the phenomenon where date/time settings reset. Changes in Version 1.1.2: Fixes a phenomenon which prevents movie files shot using Canon EOS 6D Digital SLR cameras from being played back on YouTube.
