    Changes in firmware: The new firmware incorporates the following enhancement: Support for the "Dual Sensing IS" function with the EOS M50 has been added​.

    This firmware update is for lenses equipped with older firmware versions.

    If the lens firmware is already the latest version (EF-M 55-200mm f/4.5-6.3 IS STM: Version 2.0.0), it is not necessary to update the firmware.

    The version of the lens firmware can be checked on the camera menu.

    Preparations for the firmware upda​te: In the folder you downloaded are the firmware (for EF-M 15-45mm f/3.5-6.3 IS STM: EF011301.lfu / File size: 1,441,844 bytes) and instructions on the firmware update procedures (a PDF file in five languages: Japanese, English, French, Spanish, and Simplified Chinese).
